Our story
Pretty Papery began in 2022 with a simple frustration: most wedding stationery was either generic and disposable, or beautifully made but priced for the few. We wanted to design pieces that feel personal, that take five minutes to customise, and that any couple can afford.
Every template starts with weeks of research — looking at how couples want to feel on their day, what wording fits which traditions, what paper stock holds engraved foil best. We then build it in Canva and Photoshop in a way that requires zero design skills to edit. Names, dates, colours, a different photo — all in minutes.
We live and design in Hamburg, Germany. But two-thirds of our customers are in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Every template is written and tested for English-speaking weddings, with German translations where it matters. Wherever you're getting married, we want it to feel like the stationery was made for you.
Pretty Papery is run by Anna and Fabian. Anna designs every template by hand. Fabian runs the shop and writes the journal you're reading. Between the two of us, we've designed, written, packaged, and shipped over 19,800 wedding stationery suites since 2022. The numbers still surprise us. The fact that real couples use these on real wedding days never stops feeling like a privilege.
We've been on Etsy since the beginning, with a 4.9-star rating and the trust of thousands of buyers. Our own shop at myprettypapery.com is for couples who want a quieter shopping experience, more in-depth planning resources, and direct access to us. Both stores are run by the same two people, with the same care for each piece. Buy where it feels right.
